Cinema Politica Screening Series Back at Lakehead

CINEMA POLITICA is back at Lakehead University after a successful and thought provoking Fall series which focused on personal gender and sexual identity. This semester we look beyond ourselves to films surrounding national & cultural identity and what that means on a global scale. These film screenings will take place in Room OA1022 at Lakehead Orillia Campus, from 7-10pm, are FREE, and open to the public.

A documentary exploration of the journey of healing in a people wounded by the Canadian Indian Residential School system.

A moving story of two boys from Toronto's Regent Park housing project.

ISRAEL VS ISRAEL
A doc that follows four Israeli peace activists: a grandmother, a veteran soldier, a rabbi and a young anarchist

CINEMA POLITICA is a Montreal based media arts, non-profit network of community and campus locals that screen independent and political films and video by Canadian and international artists
They believe in the power of art to not only entertain but to engage, inform, and provoke social change.
