Construction Updates

In the spring I received a notice about the road work being done on Coldwater Rd. In the notice it told residents to check a website for updates. This website provides less information than the initial letter did. As someone affected by the construction I've turned to this website for updates and found nothing new. I think it's time the city redefines the term update. I'm not saying we need to know everything. I'm not looking for updates like "john dug a hole". I would like simple updates like "planning to shut down Coldwater and Patrick intersection next week". Or I'm the event that an accident occurs like it did today (Aug.10 - suddenly have no water) I'd would appreciate having a place to get information, like an estimated repair time. I don't like having to bother the construction workers. The more people bugging them, the longer it takes to get the repairs done. Whether it's a Facebook page or they finally make use of the construction update web page I don't care but something needs to be done.
