U9 Orillia Lightning Complete Electric Season

By Chad White

The Orillia Lightning U9 development team recently wrapped up their summer soccer season. The large group of 21 players had enough athletes to create two teams that competed in the Huronia District Soccer League. Though the teams had separate game schedules they practiced together and entered tournaments in combinations. Both found great success playing against teams in the region, from Huntsville to Bradford. The coaches were happy with the development of the players, their ability to move the ball and the increased understanding of the game. Orillia heard many compliments from opposing team coaches and parents about Orillia’s ability to distribute and move the ball. Anyone looking to join this competitive group of young soccer enthusiasts next summer can contact Orillia Minor Soccer.
