Knowledge Circles Project: Who can speak for the land?

The new Knowledge Circles Project invites citizens in The Land Between region (from Georgian Bay to the Ottawa Valley) to share their observations/knowledge of the land and build community relationships. Project leaders are The Land Between organization with Curve Lake First Nation and Hastings Stewardship Council. For more info: see website below.

Knowledge Circle conferences are based on traditional Indigenous Talking Circles. These events are for landowners and resource-users (farmers, hunters, gardeners, hikers, etc.). The goals of these Circle events are to share local knowledge, understand the conditions of the land, cultivate cooperation, and develop strength through new relationships. Please note that political agendas are not acceptable in these gatherings.

Registration is required (the event is free, including lunch, and space is limited): Contact Leora Berman at 705-457-4838 or register online at website below.
