Rama man charged with attempted murder

A 22-year-old male from Rama has been charged with attempted murder in relation to a stabbing on Christian Island.
A 16-year-old was stabbed Wednesday, July 28 at approximately 12:30 a.m. and later taken to Georgian Bay General Hospital. The youth is now recovering at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.
After an investigation by the Anishninabek Police Service, the Southern Gerogian Bay OPP detachment and the OPP crime unit, Curtis Copegogo of Rama has been charged with attempted murder and held for a bail hearing.
The investigation in ongoing.
