MINOR ATOM TERRIERS CONTINUE TO DOMINATE

The Julie Emery RBC Mortgages minor atom A Terriers thumped Markham 9-0 and Newmarket 7-2 in minor hockey play last weekend.

Gray Sleep Carnahan and Joe MacNeil each scored twice in their win over Markham with singles going to Dane Mullen, Mitchell Pellarin, Jared Dewey, Jacob Dewey and Isaac Emon. Assists went to Pellarin, MacNeil, Scott Adams, Nathan Balkwill, Jared Dewey, Carter McKay, Tyler Gysbers (2), Taylor Stinson (2) and Sam Cambell (3).

Gysbers posted a hat trick and added an assist in their win over Newmarket. Other goal scorers were Pellarin, MacNeil, Emon and Mullen. Pellarin and McKay both had three assists, MacNeil had two, while Jared Dewey, Campbell, Adams and Sleep Carnahan each contributed an assist in the game.

Nick Raseta posted the shutout and Carson Ricca had the win against Newmarket.

MAJOR ATOM TERRIERS UNDEFEATED IN THREE

The Burton Financial major atom Terriers were undefeated in three recent minor hockey starts as they picked up a win and a pair of ties.

Saturday, the major atoms travelled to Aurora where they tied 1-1. Scoring for the Terriers was Kolby Tucci assisted by Luke Charlebois and Ben Peacock. Jack Gilbert was between the pipes for the Terriers.

Sunday, the Terriers were on the road again, playing to a 2-2 tie in Richmond Hill. Charlebois and Tucci had the goals with assists from Brody Sanderson and Keagan Short. Julia Borrelli was in goal.

The Terriers picked up a win on Monday at home as they edged East Gwillimbury 7-5. Point-getters for the Terriers were: Tucci (2g, 1a), Chris Wilks (2g, 1a), Sanderson (1g, 1a), Hayden Kennedy (1g), Jordan Russell (1g), Peacock (3a), Charlebois (1a) and Kyle Fischer (1a). Goaltending Jack Gilbert picked up the win.

MINOR PEEWEE TERRIERS DROP THREE STRAIGHT

The Hammond Transportation minor peewee Orillia Terriers recently lost three games against Newmarket, Markham and Bradford by scores of 5-1, 6-3 and 4-1 respectively.

Goals were scored by Shayla Hele, Riley Villeneuve (2g), Mason Lozier and Dallin Blunt. Assists went to Max Coe, Blunt, John Tytus and Lucas Wihlidal. Goaltending was shared between Tie Bond and Mitchell Goode.

THREE GAMES PLAYED IN MEN'S HOCKEY LOOP

Three games were played in the Sunday Morning Men's Hockey League last weekend.

Molson Canadians edged Muskoka Wrench 6-4 in the opening match. Joey Windsor led the way with two goals, with singles going to Chris Chater, Kyle Windsor, Chris Hutchinson and Jeremy Windsor. Scott McFadden and Steve Holberg had two goals each for Muskoka.

The second game saw Whilidal Family Chiropractic drown the Anything Gas Flames 11-1. Dereck Henderson, Shawn Fogarty, Todd Reid, Ryan Hawke and Ed Webber each had two goals with the single going to Tim Mullen. Jeremy Carpenter had the lone counter for the Flames.

In another contest, Rick Simmons skated to a 5-2 win over Student Body. Jim Heitzner had three with singles going to Andy Audia and Jeff Downard. Scoring for the Body squad were Shane Alderman and Greg Walsh.

NOVICE A TERRIERS SWEEP THREE STRAIGHT GAMES

The Jim Wilson novice A Terriers won three games over the weekend, running their York-Simcoe league record to 18 wins, one loss and two ties.

Orillia defeated Markham 4-0, Richmond Hill 7-2 and Nobleking 7- 4. Goaltenders Caden Markle with two victories and Bram Curtis with one were solid in net for the Terriers.
