ATOM AE TERRIERS ROAR BACK TO TIE NEWMARKET
The Daly Custom Landscaping atom AE Terriers battled back to tie Newmarket 2-2 in recent minor hockey action.
Down 2-0 early in the game, solid netminding from Josh Daly kept them in the game.
Then the Terriers line of Jordan Burnett, Carson Keddy and Justin Harrington, along with the defensive pairing of Jacob Dejong and Nolan Brown, started to click as the five-some turned up the heat and potted two goals to knot the count.
Ethan Sleep and Cam Brassard (back from injured reserve) also stood out in what was an impressive effort all across the lineup from a team that never quit.
Point-getters for the Terriers were: Jordan Burnett (1g, 1a), Carson Keddy (1g, 1a), Justin Harrington (1a) and Nolan Brown (1a).
MIDGET B HAWKS COLLECT WIN OVER PARRY SOUND
The East Side Marios Orillia Power midget B Hawks girls hockey team skated to a 5-2 victory over Parry Sound this week.
Goal scorers for the Hawks were Hannah Epstein, Noelle Kelly, Jessi McLellan, Emily Decock and Morgan Gravelle.
Assists went to Carly Heitzner, Gravelle, Decock, Jamie McLellan and Sholaine Pajor.
Kelsey Lewis turned in a strong game in net for the Hawks.
RAMARA YOUTH SOCCER AGM SLATED FOR NOV. 8
The Ramara Youth Soccer Club will be holding its annual general meeting on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Ramara Centre. The AGM gets underway at 1 p. m.
The afternoon will feature executive reports and election of a new executive. Registrations for the 2010 season will also take place.
