Stay away from stray flares
Southern Georgian Bay OPP are cautioning the public to stay away from stray flares they may find on the beach.
Police issued the warning Monday, indicating that flares used by the military to mark waters during may wash up onto the beach. They can be harmful if tampered with.
The flares are cylinder shaped, approximately 10 cm x 40 cm in length and will have a code on it that says "if located notify police."
