GALLERY: Running strong

More than 550 girls in grades 3-8 converged at Tudhope Park Thursday as the fifth annual Girlstrong program culminated with a three-kilometre celebration run. The six-week course is run after school at 18 Orillia and area schools, where the participants, through a running regimen, learn a variety of important skills. Girlstrong is an acronym in which each letter represents one of the lessons: goals, individuality, respect, leadership, strength, teamwork, resilience, optimism, nutrition and growth.
