ANDREW PHILIPS/SPECIAL TO THE PACKET & TIMES
City resident Mark Kelly plans to donate this Globe newspaper from July 1, 1867 to the Orillia Museum of Art & History in memory of his parents Gerard and Marion Kelly. Kelly said he found the newspaper celebrating Canada's birth along with two other items, including a portfolio of the Champlain monument's unveiling in 1925 which he has already donated to OMAH while going through his father's estate. Kelly said his father was a prominent Orillia lawyer, who did a lot of pro bono work and died in 1990.
