LETTER: Thank you
From all of us at Neema Child Project, we wish to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have believed in, supported and contributed to Neema Child Project and Neema Children's Choir in the past year.
The Neema Children's Choir returned to Uganda in early September marking the close of The Sound of Hope 2016 tour and a summer full of performances at schools, churches, music festivals, markets, private functions and community events. It was in the summer of 2015 that we first saw and heard the Neema Children's choir perform and share their testimonies and messages of hope. Soon thereafter, following discussions with their leader Pastor Daniel Mutibwa, we began the planning process to start a charitable entity in support of his organization, Kingdom Child Project in Uganda, Africa.
Kingdom Child Project serves destitute and orphaned children by helping to supply education, food, housing and medical services with the goal of developing young people into community leaders who will perpetuate positive change and lead their people and their country out of poverty.
In January of 2016, Neema Child Project became a Charitable Program under Devxchange International, a Registered Canadian Charity based in Barrie.
Since then, through the dedication and perseverance of our volunteer project members, we have seen growing support for Neema Child Project in our communities throughout Ontario. Starting in mid-May when The Sound of Hope Tour 2016 began, Neema Child Project helped to organize approximately 75 performances for the Neema Children's Choir.
The Sound of Hope 2016 tour raised funds in support of over 50 children in Uganda. For this level of generosity and willingness, we are both thankful and inspired. These kids will now be going to school on a regular basis and gain better health through improved nutrition and medical care. However, there is so much more that needs to be done. Neema Child Project has a goal to support over 200 children in the same way and we cannot do this work without the support of those of you in our local communities.
Our goal was to create a credible and secure avenue through which those with willing hearts could donate and be assured that their money was reaching the children directly, giving real benefit and changing lives. We have accomplished this goal and we are ready to do much more.
Thank you to those of you who have entrusted us with your donations and who believe in the work we are doing, and thank you to those of you who will read this and consider how you can become involved.
