The Community Foundation of Orillia and Area (CFOA) recently held its fall grants ceremony, where local charities were awarded a total of $31,600 in grants.

The following groups received grants:

Orillia District Arts Council, Orillia Christian Centre, Orillia and Area Seniors’ Centre, Information Orillia, Couchiching Jubilee House, Orillia Vocal Ensemble, The Sharing Place food bank, Living for Jesus, St. Paul’s Centre, Helping Hands, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia and District, Camp Couchiching, Orillia Public Library, and Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle

Board chair Michael Gordon announced the CFOA‘s total investment portfolio has grown to nearly $4 million and the foundation will grant a total of $130,000 to local charities in 2016.
