New to the Orillia Arts District on Peter St. S. in downtown Orillia, Suite 204 is home to two studios - the art space of local artist Patti Agapi and the photography studio of Greg James Thomson. Suite 204 officially opens with an open house on Oct. 27 from 7-9 p.m.
Patti Agapi is an Orillia visual artist who creates abstract mixed media paintings. She has been involved in the local arts scene for over five years. Previously she was actively involved in the Peter Street Fine Arts Gallery and Studio Collective. She is excited to be working in her own studio space where she is also displaying her artwork, offering workshops and presenting art events.
Greg James Thomson recently returned to Orillia after living and working for 19 years in the Muskoka region. Pursuing his passion and talent for photography, Greg is excited to expand his career as a photographer. He specializes in landscapes and Orillia scenes. At the studio, Greg will be offering workshops, a display of his fine art photography and facilitating art events.
Suite 204 will also be offering a featured artist spot that will include hanging space, artist promotion and artist mentoring. Through their sponsorship program, they hope to match businesses with local artists. For information about being a featured artist or an artist sponsor, contact the studio at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Suite 204 is located at 5 Peter St. S., Orillia. Gallery Hours are Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Studio hours are by appointment or chance.
