Liberals create survey on electoral reform
Residents of the Simcoe North riding are being invited to take an online survey to express their views on electoral reform.
"We want to hear the views of people from all political stripes," said Liz Riley, president of the Simcoe North Federal Liberals. "We also want to hear from people of all ages, especially youth whose future engagement as voters will be significantly influenced by the perceived fairness and accessibility of the system of voting."
The five-minute online survey has questions ranging from alternative systems of voting to lowering the voting age to new powers for Elections Canada. Results of the survey will inform a planned submission to the House of Commons all-party special committee on electoral reform.
