Crash victim dies



A 22-year-old man from Haldimand County has succumbed to his injuries following a crash Tuesday morning.

Jacob Haylock, from Selkirk, was driving a vehicle which rolled over on County Road 46 in Ramara around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, north of Highway 12.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Haylock had been ejected from the vehicle and was suffering life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre, where he died.

The passenger in the vehicle, a 21-year-old woman from Sebright, suffered minor injuries and was treated at OSMH.

The OPP's technical collision investigators are continuing their investigation into the crash, trying to determine how it happened. Anyone with information is asked to call Orillia OPP at 888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
