A 59-year-old woman is dead after being struck on Highway 11 in Orillia Tuesday night.
Emergency crews were called to the south lanes of Highway 11, at the West Street overpass, at about 7 p.m.
"It appears a person has been struck by at least one, possibly two or more vehicles," OPP Sgt. Peter Leon said Tuesday night.
The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team was on the scene.
Leon said Wednesday the investigation was complete with no charges laid.
No further information about the deceased is available.
"Police won't be releasing any further information with respect to (Tuesday night's) incident," said Leon.
Highway 11 South was closed between Laclie Street and Coldwater Road until about 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Leon said police appreciated the public's assistance and co-operation while conducting the investigation.
Leon said the driver(s) of the vehicle(s) involved in the collision would be offered access to victim services.
